Balanced Beauties – Renata’s Green Life in Dublin
This month’s Balanced Beauty is the ever so lovely blogger Renata, from a “Green Life in Dublin“. I “met” her on instagram a while back, and she’s been helping and advising me on green beauty ever since. She only blooming went and introduced me to 100% Pure – which is SUCH an awesome green (and mostly vegan) make up and skincare brand…. and she’s basically making me spend all my money. Hahah! Renata is one of those wonderful, genuinely lovely people, and I highly recommend giving her a follow on instagram and saying hello!
My name is… Renata Vosyliene
I live in… Dublin, as you can guess from the name of my blog, Green Life In Dublin.
Three things that make me happy are… My family, nice sunny day and the sea. I am basically a kid 🙂 Give me an ice cream on top of that and I am in heaven!
Right now I am thinking… Where to find the time to blog! It is so hard to do with little people around, and I have more ideas than time to do stuff.
Recently I have been inspired by… I am constantly inspired by everything around me, I like that flow of creativity! Last night I ended up being interviewed on the spot by lovely BVGan for her YouTube channel, and although I am sure I will come across awkward and I will be watching it with palms on my face, but still, it inspired me or rather gave me a push to finally start my own YouTube channel, something I’ve been thinking for a while! We will see, as I usually take one step forward and two backwards about it.
My favourite meal to cook is… I have to be gluten and dairy free to stay dermatitis free, so l live off pad thai and I am quite happy with it!
I am currently reading… I just started “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod and “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechtery is waiting it’s turn.
I started blogging because… When I switched to all things green and natural years ago, I couldn’t find anything natural where I lived, so I started blogging in hopes to help people find green beauty products and whether they work or not. Thankfully things are slowly getting better, but I am still a lone soldier in this field in Ireland. That’s why I am so grateful to be a part of the green beauty community, it is so nice to connect with like minded people (like you!) worldwide.
Green beauty is important to me because… It has changed my whole life! Finding out what’s in the conventional products disgusted me and shocked me to the core (formaldehyde in baby products, say what?! no wonder cancer is all around us!) and thankfully since I learned that there are natural alternatives to everything (even Nars Orgasm blush) and the products work even better. Your body and skin will thank you!
My top beauty tip is… Less is more, but layer on that mascara, girl!
My beauty essentials are… Pure Anada mineral foundation powder for amazing coverage, and a lot of 100%Pure color cosmetic products, I love this brand. Funnily enough I just wrote my “My Five Minutes Face” blog post, and all the products I love are listed there. In the busy mornings you don’t reach for products you are about to test out, you grab your trusted favourites that you know won’t fail you, right?
My favourite DIY beauty product is… I always make my own body scrubs out of salt, sugar, good quality oils and sometimes coffee grounds, and I always make my own deo too!
I am most relaxed when… I am on holidays.. Mmm, sandy beaches! At home I am anxious stress ball I am afraid.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is… It is up to YOU to make YOU happy. No one else can do that for you.
My proudest achievement is… My family. No amount of career achievements can equal the feeling your kids and happy home life gives you, and you only understand that once you have your own kids.
Thank you so much for taking part Renata! Please make some vlogs for us! I’ll definitely watch them 🙂
